[Harmonics] Course 5 Circle of Fifths

Circle of fifths 
The circle of fifths refer to a circulation that rotates from a starting note counterclockwise or clockwise by the perfect fifth through each of the 12 tones returning to the starting note as shown in the figure. This circle of fifths indicates the dominant motion which is the most important action of tension and relaxation in music that tends to move from imperfection to safety. 
This is very important and therefore you must keep it in mind. 






















How to read the table 
From the standard note C, clockwise rotation goes up by each perfect fifth. 
From the standard note C, counterclockwise rotation goes down by each perfect fifth. 
Alphabets in black indicate majors and alphabets in blue indicate minors that are related to the corresponding signatures. 
Flats and sharps within the brackets indicate the number of key signatures.
