Tapping
A right hand tapping is a technique greatly developed by a guitarist Van Halen to hammer-on or pull-off the fingerboard with the right hand to play a wider range of notes.
The tapping is described as "T" on a score and, in some scores, it is just described as a slur.
Slurs are omitted in the above score.
The tapping can be played by hammering-on the first string on the twelfth fret with the right finger, pulling off on the fifth fret, hammering-on on the eighth fret, hammering-on on the eighth fret with the right hand, pulling off on the eighth fret and then pulling off on the fifth fret.
Let's watch the video to see how the tapping is played.
Slap
Slap playing refers to a thumb playing of the right thumb tapping and a popping playing of pulling out the string.
The location where the right thumb taps is usually the end part of a fret.
Let's watch the video to see how it is played.
For popping, the second to the fourth fingers are used and you can use whichever finger you feel comfortable while playing.
Popping and punching techniques are the same one.
Tremolo
Tremolo refers to a rapid playing of a single note fast.
Tremolo is described as a diagonal line on a score.
