Course 18 Arpeggiated pattern in 16-beat and slash chord [Acoustic guitar lesson for beginner]

Arpeggiated pattern in 16-beat

You need to play the rhythms in a bar mainly with sixteenth notes from a root.
The song is played with the same rhythm from the beginning to the end but you can play it mixing eighth and quarter notes in the rhythm.
It is important for you to create your own rhythm and therefore try to make rhythms as many as possible.

Above is an arpeggiated pattern of R-3-2-3. The chord progression is a very familiar one that we have practiced so far.

The G chord form has a position where you press the second string of the third fret.

In this chord progression, the first string is never played and therefore you don't need to use your little finger.

Slash chord

In the above score, you will see a chord named G/F#. The name indicates that the chord has characteristics of the G chord but you need to press the root as F#.

You can hold the chord form as follows:

While hold the G chord form, press F# with your second finger. This kind of chords are called slash chords and they are described by "/Root" to the right.
